“My name is Janelle Nitsiza and I am a student from the Northwest Territories. I am currently volunteering at Niijkiwendidaa as part of the Northern Youth Abroad program. I was chosen to go on this 6 week long exchange as a representative of my community, my territory and the Northern Youth Abroad program. I was asked to write a few words about my experience here so without further ado.
Our work in the community is not only to provide services and programs to Anishnaabekwewag and their families. We also work within various capacities such as offering volunteer opportunities, student/work placements, and education.
