Relationship Building for Youth

A workshop for youth intended to provide awareness of the historical and contemporary relationship between Aboriginal peoples and Canadian society.
 
The workshop comprises an experiential learning experience and opportunity for in-depth discussion and dialogue to explore the subject matter.
 
 
Workshop Outcomes:
 · Developing an understanding of Aboriginal people’s experiences arising from First Contact through to
contemporary times.
· Dispelling common myths mainstream society has regarding Aboriginal
peoples.
· Participants learn about traditional roles and responsibilities of Aboriginal youth.
· Learning how Aboriginal and
non-Aboriginal youth can become
partners in change.
